Overview

Sampler is a product testing platform that connects brands with real users by sending products directly to participants in exchange for structured feedback and reviews.

The product is designed to make sampling feel intentional and fair, giving brands reliable insights while ensuring participants understand what’s expected and how they’re rewarded.

This case study focuses on marketplace design, trust-building, and creating clear incentives on both sides of the platform.

The Problem

There is an opportunity to design a sampling experience that feels respectful of users’ time and brands’ goals.

By clearly defining expectations, simplifying participation, and making rewards transparent, Sampler can turn product testing into a mutually beneficial experience rather than a one-off promotion.

The challenge is balancing simplicity for participants with control and insight for brands.

Design Goals

The final designs showcase the participant experience from discovery to reward, as well as the brand-facing views for managing campaigns and reviewing feedback.

Final Designs

The final designs showcase the participant experience from discovery to reward, as well as the brand-facing views for managing campaigns and reviewing feedback.
